Our beginnings
Rose & Sophia was born in 2005, inside a small studio in Charleston, South Carolina. The story started with two best friends who shared a belief that fashion should be elegant, accessible, and natural. Inspired by timeless Southern charm and the craftsmanship they grew up admiring, they began creating minimalist, well-tailored, and effortless pieces.
What began as a modest neighborhood boutique quickly became a beloved destination. Customers appreciated the quality, the thoughtful fit, and the confidence each garment inspired. Before long, mothers came with their daughters, friends passed along the address, and a true community formed — one that continues to shape who we are today.
Our evolution
From that first boutique filled with handmade dresses, Rose & Sophia has grown into a brand all its own, now reaching women across the United States and beyond. In 2016, the next generation expanded our legacy by launching our online store, making our creations accessible far beyond the streets of Charleston.
By blending our original aesthetic with modern technology, we’ve created a digital shopping experience that feels elegant, authentic, and genuinely human.
